I just got adamcovati.com up an running today. I’ve seeded it with a number of posts (comments, links, and all) from my previous site that are relevant to the focus that I have here. As I move forward this will be a good resource for all my ruminations and rumblings with respect to email marketing, social media and marketing, as well as other aspects of marketing (SEO/SEM) and branding.

Since I just started this blog, I figured it would be good idea for me to track everything I do to optimize my search placement. Wordpress is setup to help you get there without too much effort from a technical point of view. The hard part of course is continuing to create and involve yourself in quality content.

Look for blog posts coming with information about how I am optimizing this site for search engines, and how you can get your site performing it’s best.

For those of you out there who aren’t hip to all the internet has to offer, there’s this great site out there called digg. What is digg? Wikipedia, as always, has a good definition of digg:

Digg is a community-based popularity website with an emphasis on technology and science articles, recently expanding to a broader range of categories such as politics and entertainment. It combines social bookmarking, blogging, and syndication with a form of non-hierarchical, democratic editorial control.

So it’s basically a site where people can post links and rate others that have already been posted. For those internet newbies out there, it’s basically a magical place to get all those email Forwards without the bad formatting.

This isn’t exactly news for me, I’ve been digging for a while now; it’s not something I do everyday, but it’s a good way to catch the latest vibes on the web. The reason I bring this up is that they have something called digg labs, which is pretty much like google labs, but with some what less useful toys. The one I wanted to show you today is called Stack. This basically show you, in real-time, which diggs are getting the most attention. There is definitely cool factor to that, but above and beyond that is the ease of use of this. It’s simple to use, and you can get to the stories without much effort.

In honor of the changing of my blog software I thought I’d talk ab it about Web 2.0. I think it’s important to realize that it’s not just a buzzword and rounded corners on image. There is a lot to the revolution of the web, it’s mass media controlled and created by the masses, instead of just marketed to them. You’re viewing it right now, and you’re creating it with every click as well… well, not every click…
